Registration for Trophy Events at Whipman Sports Day
To assist with the smooth running of Sports Day on Saturday 13th June we are asking for pre-registration for the trophy events.
This means that if you want to challenge for the MacGregor Cup (children aged between 8 and 10), Young Trophy (children aged between 11 and 14), William Black Rose Bowl (women over 15 years) or Graham Cup (men over 15 years) then you will need to register, get a race number and wear the number when you compete.

Running Order and Rules
Timings and running order are approximate depending on weather and other factors.
Please listen to public address for event announcements.
For trophy events, all entrants MUST be resident in the parishes of West Linton, Lamancha, Newlands, Kirkurd, Dolphinton & Carlops. Visitors may compete but are NOT eligible for points or able to win any trophies; they may win prizes. Visitors must make themselves known to the judges and will be asked to wear a sash or band to identify themselves as visitors.
Prizes are 1st place £1, 2nd place 70p & 3rd place 50p. Prizes for toddler and preschool age races are in kind.
Decisions by Sports Committee, Judges and Chief Judges are final.
Trophies are awarded to the winner for one year only.
Remember, this is a fun, relaxed event. Please be kind and thoughtful to fellow competitors, spectators and volunteers.
