Whipman Principals 2026

The Linton Whipman 2026 – Campbell Forsyth

Campbell was raised in West Linton with his parents, Neil and Fiona, and his older brother Gregor. He attended West Linton Primary School, Peebles High School and Heriot-Watt University, graduating in 2007 with an honours degree in Real Estate.

Campbell has very fond memories of his participation in Whipman week from a very young age, taking part in sports day, five aside football and bogie races and, more recently, the Ride Out and is particularly proud to continue a family tradition as the Whipman, following Gregor & Laura in 2006, his parents Neil & Fiona in 1984 and his Grandparents Robert & Jenny in 1939.

Campbell is a Director at CBRE in Edinburgh, where he met Anna in 2014, moving in together in 2015 before settling into their forever home, Burnside on the Lower Green, in 2019. They welcomed Molly in October 2019, were married in May 2021 at St Andrews Church, before completing their family with the arrival of Freddie in October 2021.

Campbell was part of the group that restarted Linton Hotspur FC in 2008 and is hugely proud of the progress the club has made – in particular, the role the club plays in the wider community and Whipman week itself.

Outside of family life, work and football, Campbell enjoys participating in a wide  range of sports, and spending time with friends and family – especially our regular family trips back to Northern Ireland.

Campbell is very much looking forward to experiencing Whipman week from a new perspective, and representing the village at our neighbouring festivals and beyond, over this summer, and the years ahead

The Whipman’s Lass 2026 – Anna Forsyth

Anna was born in Northern Ireland to parents John, Linda and sister Sarah. Anna moved to Edinburgh to attend University, graduating in 2014 and qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2016. Anna specialises in Retail & Leisure and, in 2019 resigned from her job on her due date with Molly to establish Orinsen alongside her two business partners.

Anna met Campbell working in Edinburgh and moved to the village in 2015 and has never looked back. In 2019 they finished the refurbishment of their home Burnside on the Lower Green and welcomed their daughter Molly Fiona Forsyth who was born on the 15th October 2019. Anna & Campbell got married on 28th May 2021 at St Andrews Church on the Lower Green and welcomed their second child Freddie John Forsyth on 16th October 2021.

Anna enjoys running, Pilates, going to the gym and is always up for a challenge. Anna has a new challenge this year in horse riding being a total beginner but paired with her can do attitude is excited for the challenge. Anna is looking forward to representing the village, meeting new friends and creating even more memories with her loved ones.

Barony Herald 2026 – Finlay Stevenson

Finlay is a Primary 7 pupil at Newlands Primary, where he is a House Captain. He has grown up in the local area and lives at Kirkdean near Blyth Bridge with his parents Karen and Elaine and his dog Dougal.

Finlay is a member of the West Linton Scout Group. In his spare time Finlay is a keen gamer, enjoys swimming and playing piano. He regularly performs in Nomad Beat concerts in local village halls and in care homes.

Finlay is thrilled to be Barony Herald 2026 and is looking forward to participating in all the Whipman traditions.
