Sunday 28th May

10.00am Whipman Kids Ride
Walk ride open to any age from lead rein up
Starting and Finishing from Howieson Hall, West Linton

Friday 2nd June

6.00pm Floats gather on the Lower Green
6.30pm Float Judging Commences
7.00pm Installation of Whipman and Lass in the Marquee on the Lower Green
8.00pm Grand Procession of Principals and Floats led around the village by the newly installed Whipman and Lass, Fraser and Vikki and the West Linton & District Pipe Band

Saturday 3rd June

10.00am Whipman Rideout Leaves Village led by West Linton & District Pipe Band
RIDER REGISTRATION REQUIRED HARD HATS WITH CHIN STRAPS MUST BE WORN and BACK PROTECTORS ARE ADVISABLE. ALL RIDERS MUST STAY BEHIND THE MARSHALS AND FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS THROUGHOUT THE RIDE.
Rideout starts from Howieson Hall, Station Road.
There will be a map of the route available to follow the Rideout by car and watch the races.
10.30am Fancy Dress Competition at the Marquee.
Fancy Dress Prize giving in the Marquee directly after judging.
3.30-4pm approx Rideout Returns
8.30pm Whipman Fancy Dress Party
All welcome and Fancy Dress Optional.
Fancy Dress Theme: 90s Rave

10.00am Cycle Rideout
Meet at the Health Centre
Leave 10.30am Fun for all the family and all levels of fitness. Please bring a packed lunch.
11.00am Procession from School Brae to St Mungos Church, Chapel Brae via Main Street and Lower Green
Led by West Linton & District Pipe Band
11.30am Joint Whipman Service at St Mungos Church, Chapel Brae
12.30pm Adult 5-a-Side Football New Moor Road
Teams by invitation, Contact: Campbell Forsyth
1.30-4.00pm Dog Show  Lower Green
No puppies under 6 months
Cream Teas Served

1.00pm Whipman Procession
Led by the West Linton & District Pipe Band. starts at School Brae, walking around the village to end at War Memorial where the Whipman will lay a wreath at approx. 1.25pm.
1.30pm Sports Day Opened by Whipman and Lass on the Lower Green.
Cream Teas available in the Marquee.
1.30-5.00pm Second Hand Book Sale
In the marquee in aid of Newlands Primary School and Newlands Kids
6:00pm Whipman Market
Craft and Food Stalls. Local Organisations and Bar in the Marquee

WEST LINTON WHIPMAN PLAY SOCIETY EVENTS
Whilst every care has been taken by the West Linton Whipman Play Society’s organising committee and relevant landowners in facilitating these events, the committee and landowners will not be responsible for any injury to any person taking part in any way whatsoever in the event nor liable for any damage resulting from any acts or omissions of any participants or spectators. It is the responsibility of those taking part, or their legal guardians in the case of minors, to ensure that participants have appropriate and adequate insurance cover for personal injury and third party liability cover and that they take all reasonable steps to ensure their own safe participation in the events. In particular in relation to equestrian events, they are advised to ensure both they and their mount are both suitable and competent and that riders wear appropriate protective clothing, including headgear. Please note that the organising committee reserve the right to refuse any person from participating in any events.
